Politidope, Inc. is a for-profit social impact organization that provides event planning and political consulting services. Politidope also seeks to educate and mentor our youngest citizens to become informed and active participants in our democracy.
I interned for Politidope during the months leading up to the 2020 Presidential Election and at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The tension in our country was palpable, and the stakes had never been higher.
As such, this was the perfect time for me to be of service in contributing my skills and passion to relevant work that I felt truly mattered. I created several infographics, with topics ranging from how to vote safety during the pandemic, to posts about our institutions and election history. I also chose to write and publish two editorials on topics of importance to me: police violence towards the mentally ill, and the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Working with Politidope was a formative experience for me, as it allowed me the opportunity to use digital media in ways that would help my fellow citizens educate themselves and drive them to action during a time fraught with political and social turmoil.
In my career, I aspire to combine my creativity with my drive to advance the causes I care about - just as I did with Politidope.

"You wouldn’t ask your grocery store clerk to perform open heart surgery. So why are we asking police officers who are trained to respond to legal infractions and violent disturbances to respond to sensitive matters involving people under mental and behavioral duress?
...We need a better solution, and fortunately, better models for appropriate crisis response already exist."

"It’s on us to preserve the legacy of Justice Ginsburg by fighting to protect all that she has achieved. Let her memory inspire us to create the world of justice and equality for people of all genders, colors, sexualities, and creeds.
That fight to save our generation starts right now. Let’s get to work."
