The Maryland Democratic Party was my first experience working in politics, and provided me an opportunity to use my design and verbal communication skills to be a force for tolerance, humanitarianism, and institutional integrity during a turbulent and upsetting time in our country's politics.
Summer 2018 saw the Maryland Primary Elections, the Humanitarian Crisis at the border, sustained federal attacks on the rights of the LGBTQ+ Community, and the nomination of a Supreme Court Justice of dishonorable character. I produced a series of fundraising and outreach emails and social media graphics to garner support for the progressive causes and plain decency championed by the party.

"In recent weeks, Trump’s policy of separating families at the border has sparked the outrage of Americans across the country. ...We must continue to make our voices heard and urge the Trump Administration and Republicans in congress to bring an end to the crisis.
This past weekend, thousands took to the streets in protest at the Families Belong Together March. It is imperative that we continue to put pressure on those in power power until they have no choice but to right these wrongs.
We can show Trump and congress that the abuse must stop and that families belong together."
